As an experienced professional in the fields of ironwork, electronics and access control, Joe Afriat founded and grew Eagle from a leading installation company to a pioneering manufacturer of gate operators and access control accessories. His strong leadership and dedication to upscale customer service was the foundation of Eagle’s line of products and valuable solutions.

Our Story

In 1998, Joe Afriat released the first Eagle Gate Operators, the Eagle-2000 Slide Gate Operator, complete with a groundbreaking control board, named the Diamond Control Board. It was quickly recognized as the most feature-packed control board available on the market. Joe understood, firsthand, the pressure on fence contractors, welding fabricators and gate manufacturing professionals to remain competitive, yet keep costs down.

After much research and evaluation, Joe discovered a critical need among access control professionals for a complete line of gate operators from one single company. His originating ideas drove him to design a full line of AC and DC operators from residential to commercial and industrial applications. These included Slide or Swing types – all backed by a Best-in-Class Warranty.

Eagle Access Control maintains a full staff of engineering, research & development, and manufacturing personnel. With Joe’s continued leadership, Eagle is positioned firmly for the next generation of technology. Our dedication to excellence, customer satisfaction and quality workmanship is the cornerstone of our highly regarded reputation.

Eagle Gate Operators are built in the United States of America and located in Southern, California. Eagle products are available through a nation-wide network of distributors, dealers, and professional installers.
